Today, especially in South Africa where connectivity lags far behind developed countries, small businesses often neglect to have a website, or pay an arm and a leg for a below-par site from fly-by-night development companies.
Thanks to open-source content management systems, however, this is changing very quickly.
This year, Intengu Communications had the privilege of designing, editing and laying out five annual reports for five very different, but equally prestigious clients. The designers and copywriters thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of brainstorming the concepts, and these sessions translated into some striking and unique design elements.

Annual reports are usually challenging in that in addition to spectacular design, they contain a lot of text and information which has to be read and proofread several times by both the client and copy editors to ensure the validity and integrity of the information – all on a tight deadline.
